Dr. Jessica Falco Walter

Biography

Jessica Falco-Walter, MD, is a Clinical Associate Professor at Stanford University’s Department of Neurology and Neurological Sciences. She is board-certified in Neurology, Epilepsy, and Clinical Neurophysiology. She received her BA in Cognitive Science with distinction from Yale University and earned her MD from Georgetown University School of Medicine. Following an internship at Georgetown, she completed her neurology residency at Mount Sinai Medical Center of the Icahn School of Medicine and pursued fellowships in Clinical Neurophysiology and Epilepsy at Rush University Medical Center. Dr. Falco-Walter's clinical focus includes the diagnosis and treatment of seizure disorders and epilepsy, with a special interest in dietary treatments such as the ketogenic diet aimed at managing complex epilepsy cases. She actively conducts research on the efficacy of ketogenic dietary treatments and the role of Vitamin D in epilepsy. Additionally, Dr. Falco-Walter is involved in medical education, leading the Students Interested in Neurology program and teaching introductory courses on neurology. Her leadership roles include committee memberships focused on faculty wellness, quality, and educational development within the department. She has received several honors, including the Emerging Leaders Program award from the American Academy of Neurology and a fellowship from the American Epilepsy Society.
