Biography

Jessica Fish is a clinical psychologist and researcher specializing in neuropsychology. She earned her initial degree in psychology from the University of Exeter in 2004 and completed her PhD focusing on prospective memory in individuals with acquired brain injuries at the MRC Cognition & Brain Sciences Unit, University of Cambridge in 2008. After a postdoctoral fellowship at the Cognition & Brain Sciences Unit from 2007 to 2010, she moved to London for clinical training at King's College London, qualifying in 2013. Dr. Fish has worked clinically in NHS posts, primarily in Neuropsychiatry and Memory Disorders at South London & Maudsley NHS Trust, and at the Oliver Zangwill Centre for Neuropsychological Rehabilitation and the Wolfson Neurorehabilitation Centre. Dr. Fish joined the University of Glasgow in November 2019, initially as a part-time Lecturer in Clinical Psychology, later becoming the Research Director for the Applied/Clinical Neuropsychology programmes and was promoted to Senior Lecturer in August 2023. She is involved in various research projects aimed at improving cognitive assessments and rehabilitation techniques for individuals who have suffered brain injuries, with a particular interest in cognitive functioning, emotion regulation, and holistic rehabilitation approaches.
