Jessica Hartley is a trailblazer in the field of genetic counselling and serves as an instructor in Biochemistry and Medical Genetics at the Max Rady College of Medicine. Hartley explores the impact of changing service delivery models and investigates the needs of the clinical genetics workforce. A passionate advocate for education and research, she is the president-elect of the Canadian Association of Genetic Counsellors and a founding board member of the Association of Genetic Counsellors Manitoba. Her dedication has been recognized through numerous awards, including the Martha Donovan Women Leadership Award from the Winnipeg Foundation and the Professional Practice, Innovation Advocacy Leadership Award from the Canadian Association of Genetic Counsellors.
