Biography

Jessica Hooper, MD, is a board-certified and fellowship-trained Orthopaedic surgeon with a focus on hip and knee joint replacement surgery. She serves as a Clinical Assistant Professor at Stanford University School of Medicine and leads the outpatient joint replacement program at the Stanford Outpatient Surgery Center in Redwood City, California. A Bay Area native, she completed her undergraduate education at UCLA before attending Michigan State University College of Human Medicine, where she was inducted into the Alpha Omega Alpha medical honor society. After her residency training at NYU Langone Medical Center, Dr. Hooper gained invaluable experience working with local surgeons in Port-au-Prince, Haiti, and mentoring female high school students interested in STEM through the Perry Initiative program. She is committed to enhancing the quality of life for her patients through innovative, tissue-sparing surgical techniques, including the anterior approach total hip replacement and robotic knee replacement surgery. Dr. Hooper has contributed to the field through written articles and presentations at national meetings such as the American Association of Hip and Knee Surgeons and the American Academy of Orthopaedic Surgeons. Her clinical focus includes total joint replacement, outpatient joint replacement surgery, and adult reconstructive orthopedic surgery.
