Biography

Dr. Jessica Jones is a Full Professor in the Department of Psychiatry at Queen's University, specializing in psychology. She is a Clinical Psychologist with expertise in developmental disabilities and forensic psychology, particularly in providing services for children and adults with intellectual disabilities and/or Autism Spectrum Disorders who may be experiencing psychiatric illness or challenging behavior. With over twenty-five years of international experience, Dr. Jones completed her clinical training in the forensic specialty in the UK before moving to Canada in 2002. She has been an active clinical researcher and educator, supervising over 150 graduate psychology students, interns, and medical residents. Dr. Jones has authored 50 peer-reviewed publications, including journal articles, book chapters, and educational contributions, and has delivered over 200 invited lectures at scholarly conferences and community engagement seminars. She is currently a co-Principal Investigator in the Ontario Neurodevelopmental Disorders Network and is involved in research programs focusing on neurodiversity, ASD diagnosis, and adapted therapeutic interventions. Dr. Jones also provides clinical consultation to community partners regarding developmental and mental health issues and serves as an expert witness in legal cases involving individuals with intellectual disabilities and Autism Spectrum Disorders.
