Biography

Jessica Sager is a Lecturer in Education Studies and the Chief Executive Officer of Kin, a nonprofit organization dedicated to training, supporting, and sustaining family child care providers to ensure the success of children and families. Kin empowers caregivers to become successful business owners while assisting working parents in finding stable, high-quality care for their children. At Yale University, Jessica co-teaches the seminar titled 'Child Care, Society, Public Policy' and has provided commentary on child care issues for various media outlets. Sager has been recognized for her work with honors including the Small Business Administration's 'Women Business Champion' award in 2012, induction into the Connecticut Women’s Hall of Fame in 2013, and designation as an 'Extraordinary Social Female Entrepreneur' by New Profit in 2014. She is also an Ashoka Fellow and has been actively involved in multiple educational and philanthropic initiatives, emphasizing the necessity for reimagining care systems for children.
