Biography

Joined the Department of Atmospheric Sciences at the University of Illinois at Urbana-Champaign in Fall 2019. After earning a Bachelor of Science and Master of Science in Atmospheric Sciences from the same institution, became a member of the Warn-on-Forecast research group at the National Severe Storms Laboratory and the Cooperative Institute for Mesoscale Meteorological Studies in Norman, Oklahoma. Research focuses on severe weather, having studied elevated mesoscale convective systems as part of the PECAN project. Worked part-time as a broadcast meteorologist at WCIA television station in Champaign while collaborating with NSSL on tornado and severe weather warning techniques to extend lead times through data assimilation and ensemble forecasting. Completed an MBA with a focus on energy at the University of Oklahoma. Currently dedicated to undergraduate education, teaching classes, advising students, and assisting with their academic progress and career preparations.
