Dr. Jessie Huang-Lung is a dedicated researcher in healthcare innovations, focusing on models of care, digital health, and interprofessional collaboration to enhance eye health outcomes and delivery of quality eye care. She employs both qualitative and quantitative research methods to investigate barriers to eye care access and the role of collaborative care models in remote monitoring and patient care. Dr. Huang-Lung has previously held clinical positions with the Centre for Eye Health and the Australian College of Optometry, as well as in various corporate and independent practices across New South Wales and Victoria. As an alumnus of the Australian Volunteers Program, she contributed to establishing an optometry education program at the University of Medicine Pham Ngoc Thach in Vietnam, in partnership with the Brien Holden Foundation.
