Biography

Ji Zhu received his B.Sc. in Physics from Peking University, China in 1996, and both M.Sc. and Ph.D. degrees in Statistics from Stanford University in 2000 and 2003, respectively. His primary research interests include Statistical Machine Learning and Statistical Network Analysis, with applications in health sciences. Ji Zhu has received the NSF CAREER Award in 2008 and was elected as a Fellow of the American Statistical Association in 2013 and a Fellow of the Institute of Mathematical Statistics in 2015. He has been recognized as an ISI Highly Cited Researcher from 2014 to 2020, which highlights his influential contributions to the field of Web Science and acknowledges leading researchers in social sciences worldwide.
