Biography

Jianguo Wang is a faculty member in the Department of Earth and Space Science Engineering at York University in Toronto, Canada. He was a founding member of the Lassonde School of Engineering in 2006 and is a member of Professional Engineers Ontario and a Fellow of Engineers Canada. He has extensive experience, having worked as a Senior Engineer at Applanix Corp. from 1999 to 2006 and as an Assistant Lecturer at Wuhan Technical University of Surveying and Mapping from 1982 to 1993, where he was promoted to Associate Professor in 1992 (though he declined the position). Jianguo earned his Bachelor’s and Master’s Degrees in Surveying Engineering from WTUSM and a Dr.-Ing. in Geomatics Engineering from the University of The Federal Armed Forces Munich in Germany. With over 35 years of academic and industrial experience across Canada, China, and Germany, he teaches various undergraduate and graduate courses, including topics on advanced optimization applications and GNSS. His current research focuses on multisensor integrated kinematic positioning using GNSS and advanced data processing methodologies.
