Dr. Jiankang Zhang

Biography

Jiankang Zhang is an Associate Professor in the Department of Economics at Carleton University. He holds a B.Sc. from Zheng Zhou, an M.Sc. from Northern Jiaotong, an M.A. from Windsor, and a Ph.D. from Toronto. His research interests are primarily focused on microeconomic theory, financial economics, and decision theory, with specific expertise in areas such as expected utility and non-expected utility, uncertainty and ambiguity theory, asset pricing, and financial crises. He has made significant contributions to the field, with notable publications including 'Subjective Probabilities Subjectively Unambiguous Events' in Econometrica and work on expected utility and Choquet expected utility in Economic Theory. Over the past six years, he has published several refereed articles that reflect his ongoing research contributions and commitment to advancing the understanding of economic theory.
