Biography

Jianning Huang joined the Asper School of Business in July 2022. His primary research interests include corporate finance, financial regulation, and financial accounting, with published research in journals such as Review of Accounting Studies. He earned his PhD in Finance from the University of Memphis and holds two MSc degrees in Finance from the University of Manchester and the University of Lethbridge, as well as a BA (Hons) in Finance from the University of Manchester. Before entering academia, he worked at Thomson Reuters for several years. His teaching interests encompass international finance, financial markets and institutions, and fintech, as well as advancing the United Nations Sustainable Development Goals, particularly in addressing urgent global challenges like poverty reduction and environmental sustainability. Jianning Huang's research contributes to the advancement of knowledge pertaining to these goals.
