Biography

Jianwen Zhu received his degree in Electrical Engineering from Tsinghua University in 1993 and his MS and PhD degrees in Computer Science from the University of California, Irvine in 1996 and 1999, respectively. He joined the Department of Electrical and Computer Engineering at the University of Toronto as an assistant professor in 2000 and became an associate professor thereafter. Dr. Zhu’s research interests lie in the general area of computer-aided design (CAD) for integrated circuits, with a specific emphasis on high-level logic synthesis and systems-on-chip design methodology. He is a member of the IEEE and ACM, and has received multiple paper awards, including those from ICCD 2010 and FPGA 2010.
