Biography

Jiaoti Huang is a physician-scientist with clinical expertise in pathologic diagnosis of genitourinary tumors including prostate, bladder, kidney, and testis cancers, as well as gynecologic tumors. He focuses his research on prostate cancer, exploring molecular mechanisms of carcinogenesis and tumor progression, biomarkers, imaging, and novel therapeutic strategies. In addition to his research work, he is passionate about education and has trained numerous residents, fellows, graduate students, and postdoctoral researchers. He holds the Johnston-West Distinguished Professor position and chairs the Department of Pathology at Duke University. Dr. Huang is also a member of the Duke Cancer Institute and leads the Huang Lab. His research combines patient care with innovative laboratory studies.
