Dr. Jie Goh

Biography

Jie Mein Goh is an Associate Professor in the Management Information Systems at the Beedie School of Business, Simon Fraser University. She specializes in Business Analytics and Introduction to Business Technology Management. Dr. Goh has an extensive academic background, having earned her PhD from the Robert H. Smith School of Business at the University of Maryland and her MSc from the School of Computing at the National University of Singapore, where she graduated with First Class Honours. Her research has been prominently featured in leading journals such as Information Systems Research, MIS Quarterly, and MIT Sloan Management Review, among others. Dr. Goh's contributions to the field have garnered multiple accolades, including the CIONET's European Research Paper of the Year Award and nominations for the American Medical Informatics Association's Diana Forsythe Award. She is also an active member of the SFU Big Data Academic Advisory Committee, reflecting her commitment to furthering research in disruptive technology, health, and online communities. Dr. Goh has also co-authored various publications and teaching materials focusing on digital transformation and information systems effectiveness.
