Dr. Jie Zhao

Biography

Jie Zhao is a Faculty Lecturer at the Weitzman School of Design, University of Pennsylvania, where he teaches graduate-level courses on Healthy Buildings and their scientific applications. He is the President of P3Global, a technology advisory company focused on enhancing occupant well-being while minimizing environmental impact. Jie has previously served as the Head of Delos Labs and worked for nine years as the Executive Vice President at Delos, where he was instrumental in creating the Building Standard and developing programs aimed at transforming built environments to improve human health and performance. His research interests include Human-Building Interactions, healthy buildings, total building performance, and occupant behavior in relation to building efficiency and sustainability. With over 20 academic publications, Jie actively contributes to scholarly discourse through various top-tier journals and serves as a reviewer for multiple publications in the field of building science. He is also featured in mainstream media as a subject matter expert on healthy buildings.
