Biography

Jieping Zhu is a full professor at the École Polytechnique Fédérale de Lausanne (EPFL) specializing in the fields of synthetic organic chemistry and catalysis. He completed his B.Sc. at Hanzhou Normal University, followed by an M.Sc. at Lanzhou University and a Ph.D. at Université Paris XI. His early research experience includes a postdoctoral position at Texas A&M University. His research interests focus on total synthesis of natural products, multicomponent reactions, and metal-catalyzed processes, particularly enantioselective transformations. He has received numerous accolades for his contributions to chemistry, including the CNRS bronze medal and various awards from chemical societies across France, the UK, and China. Prof. Zhu has also held prestigious fellowships in Japan and distinguished lectureships at several universities.
