Dr. Jill Gaidos

Biography

Jill Gaidos is an Associate Professor in the Department of Medicine at Yale School of Medicine, specializing in Gastroenterology and Inflammatory Bowel Diseases (IBD). She completed her MD at Virginia Commonwealth University and subsequently underwent internal medicine residency and a Gastroenterology Fellowship at the University of Florida. Before joining Yale, Dr. Gaidos spent nine years at Virginia Commonwealth University where she was a faculty member and Director of IBD. At Yale, she serves as the Medical Director of the Yale Inflammatory Bowel Disease Center. Dr. Gaidos is known for her extensive involvement in clinical research, running numerous trials focused on IBD, including Crohn's disease and ulcerative colitis. She is actively engaged in industry-sponsored and investigator-initiated research aiming to enhance treatment options for IBD patients. Dr. Gaidos has received several prestigious awards for her contributions to the field, including recognition as a Top Doctor by Cassell Connolly. She is passionate about educating both patients and the medical community about IBD and is committed to improving the quality of life for her patients through effective treatment strategies.
