Dr. Jill Urbanic

Biography

Jill Urbanic is a Professor in the Mechanical, Automotive & Materials Engineering Department at the University of Windsor. She holds a Bachelor of Applied Science in Mechanical Engineering from the University of Waterloo and both a Master's and PhD in Mechanical Engineering from the University of Windsor. Her research focuses on additive manufacturing and 3D printing, process planning and manufacturing systems design, product design optimization, reverse engineering, and robotic systems. With extensive experience in academic and industrial settings, she is dedicated to advancing knowledge in her field and has contributed to various publications that tackle contemporary manufacturing challenges with innovative methodologies. In addition to her teaching responsibilities, Professor Urbanic leads the Advanced Production and Design Lab, where she engages in cutting-edge research and fosters collaboration with students and industry partners.
