Jillian Rogin joined the Faculty of Law in July 2017 as an Associate Professor. Her research focuses on judicial interim release, evidentiary issues in sexual assault law, legal clinic scholarship, legal ethics, as well as feminist, critical race, and post-colonial theory. Professor Rogin currently runs a clinic academic credit program at Community Legal Aid in Windsor. She holds a Master of Laws from Osgoode Hall at York University, a Master of Environmental Studies from the Faculty of Environmental Studies at York University, a Bachelor of Laws from the University of Windsor, and a Bachelor of Arts with Honours in Indigenous Studies and Philosophy from Trent University. As a member of the Law Society of Ontario since 2009, she is a practicing criminal defense lawyer. Prior to her current appointment, she worked as a duty counsel lawyer in criminal law and a research lawyer at Legal Aid Ontario. Rogin has clerked for a Superior Court Justice in Toronto and has fulfilled her articles in law. She is also heavily involved in community activities and sits on several boards.
