Dr. Jillian Scott

Biography

Jillian Scott is an Assistant Professor at the Chobanian and Avedisian School of Medicine at Boston University, specializing in Psychiatry. She completed her PhD in Clinical Psychology at the University of Nebraska-Lincoln in 2011, following her BA from Boston University and MA from the University of Nebraska. Dr. Scott holds important roles at the Massachusetts General Hospital Psychiatry Academy as a faculty member and serves as the Clinical Director at the Center for Returning Veterans within the VA Boston Healthcare System. Her work focuses on providing empirically based psychological assessment and therapy to veterans, particularly in enhancing motivation and engagement in mental health treatment. She has significant involvement in ongoing research aimed at understanding psychopathology-based risk factors for aggressive behavior and the treatment of dual diagnoses among veterans. Dr. Scott also supervises psychology trainees, ensuring that the next generation is well-equipped in clinical skills and research methodologies.
