Jim Bjork joined King's College London in 2005 as a Lecturer in Modern European History. He has previously served as a Visiting Assistant Professor at institutions including the University of Notre Dame, Rice University, and Colgate University. He published the book 'Neither German nor Pole: Catholicism and National Indifference in the Central European Borderland, 1890-1922' through the University of Michigan Press in 2008. He teaches a variety of modules at both undergraduate and postgraduate levels, focusing on the history of East-Central Europe, social history, and the history of empires and nations. Jim has also served as secretary of the German History Society from 2011 to 2015 and has been an elected board member of the Polish Studies Association since 2017.
