Biography

Jim Hamilton is a marketing executive with over 19 years of experience in forming and growing startups, as well as leading sales and marketing teams in mid-sized and larger companies. Currently, he is a lecturer at the Smith School of Business at Queen's University, where he teaches courses in marketing strategy and sales management at both graduate and undergraduate levels. He owns an advisory firm that provides reputation management and sales strategy services to individuals and corporations, with clients including Bayer, IBM, and MDS Sciex. Hamilton obtained his Honours Degree in Actuarial Science from the University of Western Ontario in 1990 and earned an MBA from the Richard Ivey School of Business in 1995. He has consistently taught courses in various programs for over 15 years and created courses for the edX platform as part of a Professional Certificate offered by Queen's/Smith. He has received several teaching excellence awards and has been an active member of various professional organizations in the field of sales management and marketing.
