Biography

James Uchizono, PharmD, PhD earned a Bachelor of Science in Chemistry and a Bachelor of Science in Biology from the University of California, Irvine. He later completed his Doctor of Pharmacy and Doctor of Philosophy in Pharmaceutical Chemistry at the University of California, San Francisco. Dr. Uchizono has been a member of the Pacific pharmacy family since 2000 and has previously served in various administrative roles, including Director of the Pre-Pharmacy Advantage Program and Associate Dean for several programs. He is recognized for his teaching excellence, having received the Thomas J. Long School of Pharmacy’s Teacher of the Year award in 2005 and Pacific’s Eberhardt Teacher/Scholar Award in 2006. His research primarily focuses on mathematical modeling of pharmacological and biological systems. He has authored numerous publications and is active in several professional organizations related to pharmacy and clinical pharmacology.
