Biography

Jin Suk Lee is an Associate Professor in the Department of Biology at Concordia University. His research program focuses on understanding the molecular mechanisms that control plant growth and development. Specifically, he investigates gene regulation, protein-protein interactions, and signal transduction pathways using the model organism Arabidopsis thaliana. Currently, his research explores how peptide signals are interpreted to regulate various developmental processes, particularly in relation to stomatal patterning in plants. Through this work, he aims to develop new strategies to enhance transpiration efficiency and biomass production in agriculturally important plants. Lee has published numerous papers on topics related to plant molecular genetics, signaling pathways, and the regulatory mechanisms underlying plant development. He is dedicated to advancing the understanding of plant signaling and is involved in teaching courses related to plant molecular genetics and biodiversity studies.
