Biography

Jin Zhang is an Associate Professor in the Department of Accounting at Monash University. He joined Monash in January 2018 after graduating from Nanyang Technological University in Singapore. His research interests include Climate Risk Disclosure, Gender Discrimination, Machine Learning, Mergers and Acquisitions, and Financial Reporting Quality. Over the years, he has contributed significantly to peer-reviewed journals including Contemporary Accounting Research, Review of Accounting Studies, and the Journal of Financial Quantitative Analysis. He frequently serves as an ad-hoc reviewer for leading journals in the field. His ongoing projects involve Corporate Culture and Climate Change Disclosure Informativeness and Accounting Digital Assets Firm Valuation. Throughout his career, Jin has received various accolades, including the Dean’s Commendation for Excellence in Research and Early Career Researcher Accounting Education Award. He continues to be actively engaged in research collaborations and is accepting PhD students in his field.
