Jing Sun received his Ph.D. degree in Electrical Engineering from the University of Southern California in 1989. He completed his M.S. and B.S. degrees at the University of Science and Technology of China in 1984 and 1982, respectively. He has been awarded 39 patents and co-authored the textbook 'Robust Adaptive Control' (Prentice Hall, 1996), with over 200 publications in journals and conferences.
