Dr. Jing Wu

Biography

Jing Wu is a Postdoctoral Research Fellow in the Department of Data Science & AI at Monash University. Having completed her Ph.D. in Engineering at Monash University, she has been mentored by notable academics including Associate Professor Mehrtash Harandi and Dr. Munawar Hayat. During her master’s studies at the University of Electronic Science and Technology of China (UESTC), she worked under Professors Yipeng Liu and Ce Zhu. Wu has also interned at Megvii, gaining mentorship from Professor Shuaicheng Liu. Her research primarily focuses on Trustworthy Machine Learning and Responsible AI, analyzing the vulnerabilities of deep learning models and developing algorithms to enhance safety and reliability while defending against attacks. She aims to make AI systems safe, reliable, and unbiased as they become increasingly integrated into daily life. Her research has contributed significantly to several high-impact conferences and journals, and she has served as a reviewer for several prestigious publications. Wu's work aligns with the UN Sustainable Development Goals, contributing to global priorities such as poverty alleviation, planet protection, and ensuring prosperity for all.
