Biography

Jingxuan Zhang is an Assistant Professor in the Department of Finance at the Alberta School of Business, University of Alberta. Zhang obtained a Ph.D. in Finance from Boston College in 2023. Prior to that, Zhang earned an M.Phil. in Finance Economics from the University of Cambridge, UK, and holds dual bachelor degrees in economics and finance from the University of Birmingham, UK and Southwestern University of Finance and Economics, China. Zhang's research interests lie in empirical corporate finance, with a specific focus on corporate innovation, entrepreneurial finance, venture capital, and initial public offerings (IPOs). At the Alberta School of Business, Zhang teaches various finance courses, including Capital Investment and Research Seminar in Finance.
