Biography

Jinsun Bae is an Assistant Professor at the Sprott School of Business, Carleton University, specializing in International Business. She holds a Bachelor's degree in Foreign Service from Georgetown University, a Master's in Asian Studies from Lund University, and a PhD in Business Economics Management from Copenhagen Business School. Her research interests include responsible business practices, global supply chains, labor management, and corporate social responsibility (CSR), particularly within the context of developing countries and Asian multinational companies. Jinsun aims to integrate her research findings into her teachings, particularly in courses related to international human resource management and social sustainability. Prior to her position at Sprott, she was a postdoctoral associate for the “New Conversations Project: Sustainable Labor Practices in Global Supply Chains” at the School of Industrial & Labor Relations, Cornell University. Her doctoral dissertation focused on CSR perceptions and practices within Myanmar’s garment industry, highlighting the importance of labor practices at the supplier level.
