Biography

Jisun Yu joined the John Molson School of Business in 2007. She obtained her Ph.D. degree in Strategic Management and Organization from the University of Minnesota in 2007. Prior to that, she received her MBA from Carnegie Mellon University in 2002, and a BA degree in Anthropology from Seoul National University in 1997. Her research is focused on issues pertinent to firm internationalization, including social evaluations involving negative events in international business contexts, such as multinational enterprises' (MNEs') engagement in corruption and their internationalization processes. She also examines the role of information technology in the global operations of MNEs. Her work has been published in notable journals including the Journal of International Business Studies, Journal of Management Studies, and Business & Society. Jisun has received external research grants from the Social Sciences and Humanities Research Council of Canada (SSHRC) and other funding bodies.
