Biography

Jo Braithwaite is a Professor of Law at the London School of Economics and Political Science, specializing in international commercial finance law. She joined LSE in September 2008 and has been involved in significant research focused on the private law dimensions of international markets, particularly derivatives markets and the resilience of financial market infrastructure. Braithwaite has a PhD from the University of London, an LLM from the University of Pennsylvania, and a BA (Hons) from the University of Oxford. She has held positions as a qualified solicitor and remains active in pro bono legal activities.
