Biography

Joachim Åhman is a Professor of Public International Law at the University of Gothenburg. He received his Bachelor of Laws, Master of Laws from Lund University in 2004, and a Bachelor of Arts in History from the University of Gothenburg in 2008. Åhman earned his Licentiate of Laws (LLD) in Public International Law from the University of Gothenburg in 2011. He was appointed as a docent at the School of Business, Economics Law, University of Gothenburg in 2017. Åhman has been a visiting research fellow at Columbia Law School and has published several books and articles in leading international journals such as the Journal of World Trade, European Public Law, and the Journal of International Economic Law. His work addresses various topical issues related to law, accountability, and trade regulations in a global context.
