Biography

Joachim Henkel is a professor of Technology Innovation Management at the Technical University of Munich (TUM). His research primarily focuses on patent management, standards, technology acquisitions, digitalization, and open user innovation. Prior to his appointment at TUM in 2004, Henkel was an assistant professor at Ludwig Maximilians University in Munich, worked as a consultant at Bain & Company, and was a visiting scholar at prestigious institutions such as University College London, MIT Sloan School of Management, Harvard Business School, and Singapore Management University.
