Dr. Joanne Dudeney

Biography

Joanne Dudeney holds a dual role as a Research Fellow at eCentreClinic and a Clinical Psychologist within the Sydney Children's Hospital Network. She completed a Postdoctoral Fellowship at Seattle Children’s Research Institute in Washington, USA, and has extensive experience working clinically in both public hospitals and private settings across Australia. Her research interests focus on applied clinical research aimed at understanding the impacts of mental and physical health comorbidities at critical points in childhood development. She is particularly dedicated to improving access to psychological care for children, adolescents, and young adults with chronic health conditions. Dudeney has a keen interest in the development and delivery of remote digital psychological interventions that are accessible, acceptable, and cost-effective, complementing existing face-to-face models of psychological care. Additionally, she supervises Honours, Masters, and PhD students on projects related to clinical health psychology and digital psychological treatments for youth. Her teaching experience includes guest lectures in Masters programs on topics like eMentalHealth, Health Psychology, and chronic pain in children and adolescents.
