João Soares holds the Campus Alberta Innovates Program (CAIP) Chair in Interfacial Polymer Engineering and is recognized as a Canada Research Chair in Advanced Polymer Reaction Engineering. He serves as Editor-in-Chief for the Canadian Journal of Chemical Engineering and is a Fellow of the Chemical Institute of Canada and the Canadian Academy of Engineering.
