Biography

Jocelyn Bouchard began his career as a metallurgist in process control at Niobec in 2005, later joining Xstrata Process Support in 2007, where he served as a process control engineer. In 2010, he became a senior engineer in mineral processing and process control at Genivar. He has been a professor at Laval University since 2012, and he held the leadership chair in teaching mineral processing engineering from Agnico Eagle Mines Limited and ArcelorMittal Mines until 2017. His area of expertise includes phenomenological modeling and simulation, as well as the control and optimization of mineral and pharmaceutical processes. He currently serves as the director of the E4m Center, which focuses on research in geology and engineering of mineral resources.
