Biography

Jodi D. Hoffman, MD, is an Associate Professor at Boston University Chobanian & Avedisian School of Medicine in the Department of Pediatrics, specializing in Medical Genetics. She obtained her medical degree from Albert Einstein College of Medicine and completed her residency in Pediatrics at Yale Children's Hospital. Dr. Hoffman has expertise in genetic counseling and diagnoses, providing care for prenatal patients as well as neonates, children, and adults with personal and family histories of genetic conditions. Her special interests include Jewish genetic diseases, hereditary cancer syndromes, connective tissue disorders, and 22q11.2 deletion syndrome. Additionally, she leads the BU Master's Program in Genetic Counseling, where she teaches and mentors students. Dr. Hoffman is also involved in optimizing genetic testing at the BU Lab and collaborates with the Framingham Heart Study. Recognized for her contributions, she was named Distinguished Faculty of the Month by Boston University School of Medicine in 2020.
