Jodie is a professional Chartered qualified accountant with 30 years of experience and a member of the ICAEW. Prior to joining Warwick Business School (WBS), she worked in industry and practice with Crowe and Deloitte and served as a freelance consultant and educator in accountancy for over 20 years. Jodie has designed and delivered professional accountancy training both in the UK and internationally, having taught professional accounting syllabi for bodies such as ICAEW, ACCA, CIMA, and AAT in locations including Singapore and Dubai. She is passionate about engaging students in the classroom by relating theory to real-world examples, which helps build their confidence and employability skills in the field. Jodie teaches a range of accounting subjects at both the undergraduate and postgraduate levels, including MBA and Executive Education programs. Additionally, she continues to be involved externally in the design and delivery of professional accountancy courses recognized at Level 7 by ICAEW and maintains strong links with accountancy professional bodies through external work, end-point assessments, exam writing, and technical reviews. Jodie joined WBS full-time in September 2022 and is committed to bringing her industry experience into the classroom. She also acts as the Academic Director for the Year Away program of the Undergraduate Partnership Programme, in collaboration with Manchester and Cardiff universities, and is actively involved in connecting students with placement opportunities through WBS Careers and Employer Relations.
