Jodie Pritchard is an Assistant Professor in the Department of Emergency Medicine at Queen’s University. She has a diverse background in emergency medicine, initially starting her career as a paramedic before taking on clinical and managerial roles in Ontario's provincial air ambulance system. She completed her Doctor of Medicine (MD) and became a Fellow of the Royal College of Physicians of Canada (FRCPC) in Emergency Medicine after finishing her residency at McMaster University. Additionally, she holds a Master of Public Health (MPH) from the University of Manchester. From 2019 to 2020, Dr. Pritchard participated in the Global Emergency Medicine fellowship program at Queen's University, where she combined her interests in medical education, global emergency medicine, and humanitarian response. She has provided clinical teaching in various countries, including Libya, Cambodia, Laos, South Africa, the Democratic Republic of Congo, and Uganda. Her research interests focus on medical education, humanitarian response, global emergency medicine development, and prehospital/transport medicine.
