Biography

Joe LoVetri is a Professor and the Head of the Department of Electrical and Computer Engineering at the University of Manitoba. He obtained his B.Sc. in Electrical Engineering with distinction in 1984, followed by an M.Sc. in Electrical Engineering in 1987 and a Ph.D. in Electrical Engineering in 1991, all from Canadian universities. His doctoral thesis focused on Computer Techniques for Electromagnetic Interaction Modelling. His research interests and expertise encompass various aspects of electromagnetic imaging, computational electromagnetics, and optimization methods. LoVetri has contributed significantly to the field through his teaching and numerous published papers, particularly in the areas of electromagnetic theory and applications. He also leads the Electromagnetic Imaging Laboratory, where he oversees advanced projects and student research. Over his career, he has been involved in both journal publications and conference presentations, establishing a strong reputation in his field.
