Biography

Joe Moore is an Assistant Teaching Professor in the Civil and Environmental Engineering program at Carnegie Mellon University. He holds a Ph.D. in Civil and Environmental Engineering and an M.S. in Civil Engineering, both from Carnegie Mellon University. His undergraduate studies were completed at Wabash College where he double majored in Biology and French. He is passionate about interdisciplinary engineering education and is committed to mentoring and supporting students, particularly from marginalized communities. Moore's career is dedicated to working collaboratively with students and facilitating an interactive, inquiry-based classroom environment. He emphasizes the importance of deepening students' knowledge and practical skills to tackle real-world challenges confidently.
