Biography

Joe Nandhakumar is a Professor of Information Systems at Warwick Business School, University of Warwick. His primary research interests focus on the design and use of digital technology, particularly the implications it has on work and organizational interactions. He is the principal investigator for several Economic and Social Research Council (ESRC) funded studies, which include exploring interdisciplinary collaboration in digital innovation, such as computer games, and developing business models for emerging digital technologies. Currently, he leads a research project funded by Innovate UK that applies AI and machine learning solutions to high-value litigation cases. Joe has served as an Associate Editor for Information Systems Research and as a Senior Editor for the Journal of the Association for Information Systems. His academic journey includes previous faculty roles at the University of Bath and the University of Southampton, as well as visiting positions at the University of California, Irvine, and Georgia State University. With extensive industrial experience including work with Ford Europe and Nestlé, he is a fully qualified Chartered Management Accountant. At Warwick Business School, he teaches courses on Digital Business Strategy, Knowledge Work, and Innovation.
