Joe Salvatore founded and directs NYU Steinhardt's Verbatim Performance Lab (VPL) where he teaches courses in verbatim performance, ethnodrama, community-engaged theatre, and new play development. He collaborates with numerous initiatives and is active in various professional organizations.
