Biography

I am a Teaching Fellow specializing in Latin Literature with a focus on the poetry of the Augustan period, especially the works of Ovid. My PhD dissertation, completed in 2022, explored themes of incest and bestiality within Ovid's Metamorphoses from a psychoanalytical perspective. In addition to my university teaching, I have experience as a secondary school Latin teacher and have been involved in various educational initiatives such as the Durham Greek and Latin Summer School. I have a strong interest in queer interpretations of classical texts and my major research project examines the Appendix Virgiliana through a queer lens. I am also dedicated to inclusive pedagogy that caters to diverse learning needs, particularly for queer and neurodiverse students. My publications include articles on queer classical reception, Latin language teaching, and works related to C.P. Cavafy. I am passionate about advancing discussion and research in queer studies and have held positions in various academic committees.
