Biography

Joel obtained his undergraduate degree from the University of Alberta, Canada, and earned his Ph.D. from Columbia University. He received postdoctoral training at Rockefeller University, where he focused on single-particle cryo-electron microscopy to determine the high-resolution structure of the olfactory receptor, insect Orco.
