Biography

Joel Horowitz's research concerns estimation inference under weak assumptions regarding the processes that generate available data. He is focused on improving the accuracy of inference from samples of practical size using shape restrictions that are provided by economic theory to enhance estimation and inference. Horowitz has served as a co-editor for Econometrica and Econometric Theory, and is a fellow of the Econometric Society as well as the American Statistical Association. He is also an elected member of the International Statistical Institute.
