Biography

Joel Sciascia is an experienced attorney and executive manager with over 18 years of experience in complex construction and commercial disputes. He advises business leaders and project teams on various matters, including new business opportunities, deal structures, and risk management. Joel's expertise includes reviewing, negotiating, and drafting construction management agreements and subcontract agreements, as well as resolving trade contractor negotiations and disputes. He is currently an adjunct professor at New York University Tandon School of Engineering, where he teaches graduate coursework in Construction Law and Contracts & Specifications. Joel serves as Chair of the Construction Committee and is a current member of the Alternative Dispute Resolution Committee and the House Committee of the New York County Lawyers’ Association. He often lectures and moderates panel discussions on topical issues affecting the construction industry. His representation includes litigation, arbitration, and mediation related to construction projects, with amounts in dispute ranging from thousands to $30 million.
