Biography

Joerg Goette joined the Quantum Theory group in 2018 after working for 18 months as an Associate Professor at Nanjing University, China. He was a Senior Researcher at the Max Planck Institute for Physics of Complex Systems in Dresden, Germany, from 2011 to 2015, and a Royal Society Newton International Fellow at the University of Bristol from 2009 to 2011. His postdoctoral work was conducted at Leiden University in the Netherlands from 2007 to 2009. His research interests focus on light-matter interactions, particularly involving the handedness of light and matter, including optical structural chirality, topological optics, and twisted matter waves.
