Dr. Joey Huang

Biography

Ting-Chiao Huang, known as Joey, is an Associate Professor in the Department of Accounting at Monash University, where he has been teaching since July 2015. His primary focus is on financial accounting, and he is actively involved in research across various domains within accounting. Joey's research interests include auditing, forensic accounting, earnings, financial reporting quality, earnings management, corporate governance, and issues related to auditing in China. He has published extensively in prominent academic journals such as Accounting Review and Auditing: Journal of Practice & Theory. In addition to his teaching and research, he serves on the editorial boards of several journals, including the International Journal of Auditing. His contributions to the field have been recognized with awards, including the Paper Award from National Taipei University in 2013. Joey is also engaged in scholarly activities, such as peer-reviewing for various journals and participating in conferences related to accounting and finance. His work aligns with professional standards and contributes to the academic community's understanding of significant issues within the accounting discipline.
